Dear Jerry:

Enclosed are the ticket stubs for the air travel.  My only other expenses
were a round trip Palo Alto to San Jose of 40 miles, parking at San
Jose airport of $2.00, and a $30.00 taxi fare from San Francisco airport
to San Jose airport because of missing the return flight to San Jose.
Missing this flight was partly my fault because I was talking to Larry
and, as he put it, for the first time in 39 years he missed the turn off
to LA airport.  If UCLA doesn't want to pay for this blunder then I will
go along, but then they should get smarter lecturers.

Enclosed also is a copy of the interstellar travel paper.  I will be
happy to revise it according to your suggestions.  My idea would be
to include the formula for the time of travel because it is essential
for understanding the possibility of interstellar travel, but omit its
derivation, and to include one sentence that may be obscure to a non-technical
person
to tell someone who knows physics how the formula was derived.

Let's discuss the scientific-political magazine further.
